This is the style Hitty I began with in 2004 and the most favored of my Hittys. She has molded papier mache head, arms and legs with a cloth body and is nice to hold, dress and sit. She is the easiest to make with her two drawbacks (if those matter) are that she is not wood and she cannot stand by herself. The Basic Hitty Kit comes with the molded head, arms and legs and all materials including wool stuffing, all paints, her coral beads, fabrics and notions for her simple dress and underwear. Fine lace is also included, but so are the instructions for making your own simple lace using only a needle and sewing thread. (Hitty must have all the details). Extra molded parts are available to make more Hittys if you already have a kit with its necessary instructions, patterns for body parts and other supplies.

Dolls come kit or finished. Kits may be ordered with pre-painted heads or paint your own.

These are the GW versions of Hitty with a wooden body. The 6-1/2" dolls have papier mache heads and jointed wood bodies. Kits have pre-sawn wood parts with easy carving to be done using readily available X-Acto knives and hand sanding. Heads are molded from my own molds of papier mache. Kits will include all paints and supplies needed for one doll. Dolls will fit my other Hitty outfits (minor adjustments may be necessary for head size and waist size). These wooden versions will stand alone and arms turn independently.
