This is a secure shopping site. Each item has an "Add to Cart" link to click on, that will place the item in your shopping cart. You will be able to review the contents of your cart and make any changes prior to checking out and submitting your credit card information. Most items (kits, patterns, supplies, fabrics, etc., plus many of the small things) are always in stock and ready to ship, but because each and every finished item is made here all by hand with Gail working on every piece, we do not usually have finished items "in stock". However, there always is a small batch of all the items somewhere in its progress, so most finished items will be finished and shipped within 2-3 weeks. Once an order is received, the desired item is then put at the head of the line for finishing. If you order a finished item not in stock (that will be most dolls, larger furniture pieces or special orders of any kind), you will be charged a standard 20% deposit to get the order going and the balance charged when the doll or item is ready to go.

Deposits are non-refundable once the order is in progress.

No orders will be shipped without proper payments, including shipping charges. Personal checks or money orders and Mastercard,Visa and now Discover, are all acceptable and work well on all online orders. PayPal may also be used and we accept personal checks or money orders and work best on orders by Postal mail, Email, Fax or Phone Calls. For these payment methods, we will wait for your PayPal payment, check or money order to arrive before processing your order.

All transactions involving refunds, exchanges or credits, must be made within 30 days of invoice in unopened and new condition and have been purchased from me and not one of the shops selling my work. An inhouse credit will be applied on the purchased items only. We reserve the right to impose a restocking fee of 10% on finished items and 15% on kits. We do not cover the cost of shipping back. If you ordered the items, we also do not refund the original shipping charges. There are no guarantees that you will be able to make the kits - please use judgement when purchasing.
We make every effort to make good any errors found in kits, but all claims must be made within 30 days of receipt. One area we cannot cover is dried up paints (unless damaged in shipping) over 30 days old. Most paints will last many months, even years unopened, but there is no guarantee on the length of time they will last. However, we are happy to replace your paints for a small fee (depending on number of paints). Please email us to see how to replace these.

At most times, if all items are in stock, they will be shipped within two or three business days except during sales or the holiday season where it can take up to two weeks to organize and ship all orders. If there will be a delay, we will notify you so that you may decide what to do.

 

I have always welcomed Layaways and I am positive that many of my dolls and even doll houses would not be in the new homes that they are if Layaway had not always been a possibility. But as the world has gotten more complicated, it has taken its toll on how much administrative time it takes to handle Layaways. Thus the new rules in effect as of Dec 1, 2010.

Layaways can only be done by phone, fax, email or mail. Please feel free to set aside any items of your choice, large or small with a 20% non refundable deposit. Set your own payment terms and final date up to 6 months for any layaways that include sale items or are $300 or less and up to 12 months for layaways on orders over $300 (and which do not have any sale prices). You must commit to regular monthly payments, best by scheduled credit card method, but payments by check also acceptable.

Cancelling or failure to make timely payments without consultation will result in forfeiture of all payments.

After you have placed an order, your name is added to our mailing list to receive any catalogs or flyers we send by mail. Due to the high cost of producing and mailing catalogs coupled with maintaining a website, there will no longer be regular catalogs as in the past. Not having a catalog is very hard for me because the only real jobs I ever had were doing graphics for printing and I loved my old printed catalogs. Many of you collected them, much to my amazement. But here we are in the new age of computers and I will miss this opportunity more than anyone can imagine. I do hope to have a feature in 2011 where you can print out your own copy of the entire website on your home printer or if you do not have one, perhaps you can have a neighbor or your public library do this for you.

You can determine shipping charges for Domestic US Orders by consulting the chart below. It is based on the total amount of your order, your location, and the type of shipping you choose - you cannot choose the amount. Your choice of shipping type is made at the time you check out. The amount will NOT show up on your order form. We will calculate shipping charges at the time of shipping.
International shipping charges will be based on the destination of the order and the method of shipping you choose.

SHIPPING RATES ARE BASED ON DOLLAR AMOUNT AND INCLUDE A NECESSARY SMALL AMOUNT FOR HANDLING AND SHIPPING SUPPLIES FOR AN ORDER.

The following rates are generally adhered to, however we reserve the right to charge appropriate rates depending on your order's overall box size, its weight and your location. Due to the ever-changing world of gas prices and that UPS and the USPS keep imposing more layers of complications for shippers, we need to be able to re-calculate rates for certain packages. Boxes now have the added complication of dimensional weight - we are charged more for a larger box even if it is lightweight (for instance, if you ordered stuffing, normally a lightweight low priced item, we would need to adjust the rates due to the size box required). This is as much frustrating for us as it is for you the customer having to pay high shipping costs. FYI my business strives to break even at the end of any year between what we have had to pay out to ship and what we charged you the customers to be shipped.

International Rates and How We Charge Your Order
It works best if we complete your order in two charges - one charge for the merchandise and a second one for the shipping charges, so you may find two charges on your credit card statement. This is because we often do not know what the exact shipping total will be until after the box is packed and taken to the US Post Office.

It is best to email, fax or call for International Rates. Intermational packages may be shipped by: Surface Mail, Air Mail, Global Priority or Global Expresss.

We can weigh your intended order then tell you what the charges will be. Please be patient if you are shipping internationally as the services are extremely complicated and the rules not followed consistently by the postal systems on both ends. We are located in a rural area, and do not have access to the computer systems and scales that more urban areas do. The system is far from easy to use and further complicated by the fact the every country has its own rules at the other end. We work hard at this, but I am afraid it is a system that will always be fraught with problems.
